❤️ PLEASE HELP US FIGHT FOR OUR ANGEL, LEMS. ❤️

People often ask Ange what breed Lems is, and her answer has always been the same:

“98% angel.”

And if you’ve ever had the privilege of meeting Lems, you know that isn’t an exaggeration. It’s the truth.

Lems is one of those once-in-a-lifetime dogs. The kind of dog who somehow becomes everyone’s best friend. The kind who makes you feel loved just by looking at you. He has touched the lives of so many people and has never met a stranger. He has spent ten years giving everyone around him unconditional love, and right now, he desperately needs some of that love given back to him.

Lems just celebrated his 10th birthday last month, and unfortunately, these last couple of years have been incredibly hard on our sweet boy. He has endured two ACL surgeries, thyroid issues, skin problems, a diagnosis of Cushing’s disease, daily medications, and now, he is fighting through something we never could have imagined.

It started with Lems becoming sick and unable to keep food down. Ryan and Ange took him to the vet to get checked out and have bloodwork done, hoping it was something simple that could be treated.

Instead, things quickly became much more serious.

They were told he needed an ultrasound and rushed him to an emergency veterinary hospital. Once there, the vets noticed that his heart rate had skyrocketed to nearly three times what it should be.

They rushed him into the back.

Hours later, the heartbreaking news came that Lems needed to see a cardiologist immediately.

So Ryan and Ange packed up their precious boy and rushed him to another emergency hospital, where he is now receiving the specialized care he needs. He is being closely monitored, especially for his heart rate, and the veterinary team is also investigating his abdomen, where they believe the main underlying problem may be.

And while Lems is fighting with everything he has, Ryan and Ange are fighting right alongside him.

The reality is that emergency care, specialists, ultrasounds, monitoring, medications and everything else Lems needs have created an overwhelming amount of veterinary bills in an incredibly short amount of time.

And asking for help is not easy.

But when it comes to Lems, they will do absolutely anything.

So today, we are swallowing our pride and asking our friends, family, and anyone who has ever loved this little angel — please help us give Lems the chance to come home.
