At the Lemmium campaign we are committed to creating a lasting legacy for Lemmy and Motörhead. This is why we believe that establishing Motörhead
Landmarks is an incredibly important strand of our work. The indiviudally designed Cast Iron memorial plaques will become the basis for the Motorhead London rock tour. Our first focus is a plaque for the Roundhouse venue commemorating the first gig in 1975 but also we plan to install plaques across the city marking landmark events and places such as Hammersmith Odeon, the site of the bands rehearsal rooms and the site of the former Jackson recording studios at Rickmansworth.
Through the plaques we will provide fans with the opportunity to connect with the history and help shape the legacy of the band as well as providing pilgrimage sites. We are working closely with the band management to ensure that the plaques reflect the importance and significance of the band's legacy.
To make all this happen we need your help. Each plaque will cost c£1300 and we ask you to make whatever contribution you are able to make this happen. Everyone who contributes will be listed on a special page on the Lemmium website and those donating £100 or more will be sent two tickets to attend the unveiling of the Roundhouse plaque where the plaque will be unveiled by an A list rock celebrity. Please help where you can to bring this spectacular legacy to life.
The Lemmum campaign was born in January 2016 with a sole focus on building the legacy through engaging the fans. Our petition at Change.org was launched and thankfully 157,000 people agree with us and we have had wonderful support for the campaign from 187 countries across the world. We have enjoyed considerable success with our Twitter based #MotorheadMonday hashtag and have delivered two highly successful Motörhead Days. Now it is your turn to help bring this wonderful legacy to life.
