Lemay Family Fund: Honor Alex's Passion

Hello, my name is Zander. I'm a good friend of Alex Lemay. A couple of weeks ago, Alex was en route to my home. Whilst en route, Alex was involved in a head-on collision and was tragically killed in that accident. You can imagine how his sudden death knocked the wind out of his family, friends, fellow farmers, and the community alike. Naturally, his support circle stepped in to help the family so that they can healthily grieve and process this tragic event. This GoFundMe, while a bit delayed, is to help ease the financial burden they have undertaken, by closing out the business and having Alex's memory, dream, and legacy end on a very high note. Alex had very high hopes of a rebound year in 2025. Let the community come together and support his family in making that dream a reality.

Alex was an innovative farmer who practiced regenerative agriculture with his livestock. His slogan was “A Pig with a Purpose.” The purpose was to provide high-quality, healthy pork, to improve the tilth and fertility of the soil, and to cut down on invasive plants. As a result of this way of farming, Alex’s pigs lived a good life. They were free to roam on pasture. The piglets were even born on pasture, and the mothers were not confined. They were especially happy hogs when they were moved to a new area! Alex also had some cows on pasture, but the pigs were his focus. None of us who knew Alex Lemay of Foggy Hog Farm could say a bad thing about him. He was just the guy that had a smile on his face, even when his circumstances should’ve taken it off. He showed up anytime anyone needed him with a “let’s do this” attitude. He loved serving people. He loved his girl, his family, his career. He loved life.
