Austin and Missy graduated as sweethearts from Chico State and began building a life together. They settled on a piece of land in Glen Ellen where their ranching life began. It started with a few cattle and turned into a passion, lifestyle and career that was pure.. They worked hard to create a sustainable farm using organic practices for raising sheep, cattle, chickens and produce. They have dedicated their lives to providing the Sonoma and surrounding communities with the highest quality foods, working 7 days a week, day and night. Over the past 7 years, they have grown to a dozen cattle, 400 chickens and year-round produce.
Last night, Austin and Missy were woken up to a knock and told to evacuate immediately. They grabbed the few possessions they could and ran to safety, not knowing what they would find when they came home. When they finally made it back to survey the damage, their house was burnt to the ground, and their truck and quad were completely melted. The remarkable thing is that all the animals were found safe and are now in need of quick attention.
We are funding this page to help them get back on their feet and support their farm. They desperately need a new vehicle to transport the animals, and ensure they have food and water. Please help save the farm that means so much to our community and the wonderful people who make it a reality.
Our hearts are with everyone who has been affected by these wildfires.
