Support Elijah’s J-Team Mission Journey

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Elijah Escobar, and I’m a 17-year-old high school senior with a calling to serve. I’m raising funds to support my fourth mission trip to St. Mary’s Parish, Jamaica, this August 2025 with Team for Medical Missions.

This isn’t just another trip; it’s part of a legacy God is writing through me. Each time I’ve gone, I’ve experienced something more profound, humbling, and transformational. This journey is living proof that my deliverance is still a work in progress, and only God can complete it.

Over the past two years, I’ve had the blessing of serving in Jamaica three times. These were not just mission trips; they were turning points in my life.

  • August 2023: I came while silently battling anxiety and depression. That trip changed everything. I encountered a God who didn’t just accept my brokenness; He worked through it. I learned that faith isn’t about having all the answers but about surrendering everything and letting Him be my strength. That was the beginning of my true deliverance.
  • August 2024: I came with expectations and plans. But mission work rarely follows a script. I learned that real ministry is messy. It’s not about control; it’s about obedience. Through surrender, I found peace.
  • February 2025: I stepped into leadership. I shared the gospel in schools, showed love to children, and guided others in truth. I came home changed, more aware of what it means to lead like Christ: with grace, humility, and presence.

As my mission partner Charlotte Harvey prepares to start college and I begin my senior year, I thought my Jamaica chapter might be coming to a close. But in a quiet moment of reflection, God made it clear:

“You’re going on this trip whether you like it or not because I still have more to teach you.”

So I go. Not out of routine but obedience. This trip is a success. It’s a declaration. It’s me saying: God’s not done with me yet.

This August, I’ll return to Jamaica to serve in clinics, support local communities, and minister to children. I won’t just show up I’ll be present. I’ll offer more than words. I’ll offer action, compassion, and the quiet kind of love that reflects Christ.

This isn’t just a mission trip. It’s part of the life God is building in me.

There’s a quote from Charlotte that has stuck with me for a while:

“Let your life be a proof of His love.”

That’s what I want to live a life that reflects Christ. I want every child I meet, every team I serve alongside, and every person watching from afar to see something different. Not perfection, but love. Not pride, but peace. Not control, but trust.

And I need your help to get there.

I’m covering a portion of the trip cost myself, but I’m asking for support in raising the remaining amount. Your donation, no matter the size, will directly support:
  • Travel and transportation
  • Lodging and meals
  • Ministry supplies
  • Outreach programs for children and the community

And if you’re unable to give financially, I ask for something even more powerful: your prayers. Please pray for me, for my team, and for every soul we’ll encounter. Pray for open hearts, bold faith, and lives forever changed.

Thank you for reading my story and for being part of this journey. Your generosity whether financial, spiritual, or emotional means more than I can say. You are part of this legacy.

"For I fully expect and hope that I will never be ashamed, but that I will continue to be bold for Christ, as I have been in the past. And I trust that my life will bring honor to Christ, whether I live or die." - Philippians 1:20

So I write this knowing that to live is Christ. Though my desire is to be with Him, I know that for now, it is more necessary that I remain. Because there’s still work to be done. Still love to show. Still lives to touch.

This mission is part of that purpose. This chapter is not the end. It’s God reminding me: “I’m not finished with you yet.”

So I go, not to finish my own deliverance, but to let God keep writing it one surrendered step at a time.

With gratitude and hope,
Elijah Escobar
