Lela's Fight

On 10/29/18, Kourosh took Lela to the doctor with concerns about the jaundiced appearance of her eyes and skin. The following day,  diagnostic testing  revealed  that their sweet six-year-old was unexpectedly in active liver failure and she was promptly admitted to the pediatric ICU at a local hospital.  Doctors determined the cause to be a very rare condition known as autoimmune hepatitis. She has not been responding to the treatments available in her hometown and is being transferred by air to the Children's Hospital Colorado for additional treatment and a possible liver transplant. In addition to the mounting medical expenses and air ambulance fees, Lela's mom, a public school teacher, will soon be out of paid leave and Jill and Kourosh are not able to run their home business as they have been at the hospital with her throughout the entire ordeal. Your support will allow Jill and Kourosh to only worry about Lela getting better and coming home.
