#LEJOGLE 2,814km in my back garden for MarieCurie

So I've now been on the rollers in my own back garden every day of lockdown (bar 1, I went for a run with my son, Harry) and I have been seeing all the great charity fund raising feats for the NHS which have been truly remarkable! Well, I have been to-ing & fro-ing with the charity fund raising idea; shall I, shan't I? I knew what I wanted to do, just needed the charity and speaking to my daughter tonight convinced me to do it. She is training to be a paramedic, and told me a sad, sad story tonight of a student friend who has been working hard during lockdown in the palliative care area, taking patients to hospices. Only this time, he took someone who had been given 3 months to live. They had plans for the last months including being with family, friends and some travelling and sightseeingl! But alas, the C-19 virus put paid to that and he had to take them to the hospice to spend their last days in isolation having said last goodbyes and fond farewells to family and friends! My dear friend Pash also lost his battle recently to a brain tumour and he spent his last days in a Marie Curie Hospice in Solihull and passed away peacefully on 13th March surrounded by his loving family. He was looked after so well by the staff at the hospice. So in these challenging times, I felt I could direct my energies to do something positive for Marie Curie. I have already ridden the equivalent of Lands End to John O'Groats on the rollers and am now turning for the return journey which will be a total of 2,800km or so, and I need some motivation please to complete the trip! I hope to finish before an easing up of lockdown occurs... If not I'll finish it anyway...once published has to be completed!!! So, if you can, please sponsor me at...
