What an amazing holiday surprise we at Leitrim’s had this year!
Like many other local businesses, our historic bar has been facing hardships due to COVID-19.
Surviving as best we could, we’ve limped on throughout the year with crossed fingers and anxious hearts. To our disbelief, help came from an unexpected source! Assumption University students reached out to us and made an unprecedented offer: they told us that they wanted to take the initiative in promoting a Go-fund-me page for Leitrim’s.
These steadfast and cherished students have helped us recognize that others love Leits just as much as we do, and it is with the utmost gratitude that we accept their offer. The funding will go exclusively towards maintaining Leitrim’s Pub so that we can once again open to the public in 2021. .
To open back up we will have to meet all guidelines to protect our staff and customers from COVID-19. We have been in direct contact with the city about how we can accomplish that. We need to serve food, tables, chairs, plexiglass, proper kitchen equipment, and catch up on bills that have been put off.
We’re ready and willing to keep fighting, and with your help we can do so. Let's keep Leitrims in Worcester and celebrate our 51th year together in 2021!
