Heya, I'm Leila and I'm two years out of work now with no opportunities coming my way and bills piling up. I've asked for help before and got a lot of help when I was first laid off, but that's all about dried up with nothing to show for it. I recently got what I thought was a promising job offer only to be let down right before the finish line after a month of back and forth emailing and even going in for a trial with a message of "we're pausing hiring," and it's been just so soul-crushing.
