Leila's College Fund

Hello! My name is Leila Bryant, and I am a Theatre Performance Major at Old Dominion University. I am also finishing up a few credits at my community college, Virginia Western, to complete my Associate's Degree. I am a full-time student with a part-time job that does not keep up with my tuition needs for the Summer 2022 semester. My parents also do their best to help pay my tuition but without financial aid for the summer, and a large family to provide for, it’s unfortunately too expensive for us to cover on our own.

Though I am also working on scholarships, this is a time sensitive request for assistance on paying the rest of my tuition by Tuesday September 6th, 2022 (the last day to register for fall classes). I am registered in 10 out of the 12 credits that allow me a “full time student” status but without it, my financial aid will be reduced, putting me further in the red. The absolute latest deadline for my tuition to be paid in full would be October 31st, 2022 (pre-registration for Spring 2023 classes). I cannot register for spring classes until the bill is paid.

I appreciate any help, no matter the size of the donation or the efforts to share this fundraiser and spread the word. It means a lot to me the amount of support I have received over the years from all walks of life: family, friends, and strangers alike. I want to honor all the help I receive by developing my education into a tool for dreams and change alike.
