Leila Thomas -Rahman Support

As some of you are aware my neice Leila 7 weeks ago has been diagnosed with a rare soft tissue cancer called : Rhabdomyosarcoma. She has underwent 6 weeks of chemotherapy with no improvement. She currently is in Nemours DuPont Children’s hospital . She had a repeat test yesterday ( Friday ) called a PET scan which showed progression of the cancer. This Monday Her oncology team will meet with Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Sloan Kettering of New York to decide on what the next treatment plan. She may have surgery to amputate her right arm which the primary Cancer mass is located.

My sis is the bread winner of the Family, currently on FMLA which is only 12 weeks for which is not paid . Her employer told her if it was HER who had the cancer she would of received 60% of her salary minus medical coverage costs. She has to go back in July for which I believe she will not be able . She works for Christiana Care .If she doesn’t return in July her position will no longer be held .

I am asking my family and friends if you can please donate gift cards, Wawa for gas food cards Amazon gift cards even Walmart would be very much appreciated. She has two other children Edward (15) and Elias ( 12). Whom are having difficulty with the family structure and routines that are no longer the same.
