Laila, Victoria and Charlie Werckle's eldest daughter and Ava's hero of a big sister, is currently fighting to overcome a very rare and serious health condition and they need our help! Due to a sudden brain bleed, Laila recently underwent 15 hours of brain surgery at St. Louis Children Hospital.  Fortunately, the surgery went well and the doctors have a established a plan.  As the days have progressed, her positive attitude and the love from all her friends and family has pushed her in the right direction...but we're just at the beginning of a very long road to recovery. 

The causes that lead to the brain bleed created a hole in her mitral valve and the leakage is considered severe. Heart surgery is eminent, but Laila is not yet strong enough and is recovering in St. Louis. Due to COVID-19, several restrictions are being put on the family. Now is our time to show Victoria and Charlie our support where we can and hopefully provide some peace of mind as the doctors continue to work with them to provide the best care possible for sweet Laila.  We are asking for positive thoughts, prayers, and love, to help Laila recover; we're also asking for monetary donations to help our friends cover medical expenses as well as unexpected expenses due to COVID-19 restrictions.

For those of you that know The Werckle's, you've seen their love and generosity in life. For those that may be reading this 3rd party, this family is one of perseverance and dedication to everything family stands for...and to put it simply, are extraordinary people with big hearts and unconditional love for Laila and Ava.
