Thank you for taking the time to view our go fund me page.

***We are completely overwhelmed by the response we have had! Its so heartwarming to see how our community has come together like this. There are too many to thank individualy but i just want to say thank you! From the bottom of our hearts we are so unbelievably grateful.
We want to keep this amazing fundraiser going and many people have asked us to raise the target.
This money is not only going to give Leila a beautiful send off but it is taking such a massive weight off of the shoulders of her parents.
While they both take time off of work and taking time to  greive and process this horrific news. This is giving them time to take it without any extra pressures and burdens and hopefully help with a small part of their grief. ***

As a family we are trying to raise money to fund the funeral for Leila Rose who sadly passed on the 25th of July 2023. We would like to give our beautiful girl a truly incredible send off.
Leila was only two years old when she passed away shortly before her 3rd birthday. Its is impossible to put into words how we are feeling as a family. This is never something we would have ever imagined that we would have to be doing. However, we feel this is the only way we can alleviate some of the pressure from Leila’s parents, Sarah and Mark.
Leila’s birth was a miracle, born against all odds. Her parents tried so hard to conceive for ten years and after undergoing multiple failed attempts at IVF Sarah finally fell pregnant naturally and Leila was finally born on the 6th of October 2020.
Leila was born profoundly deaf. At one years old she underwent a major surgery to give her cochlear implants. To our amazement this worked! Despite going through this at such a young age Leila was the happiest most intelligent little girl with the most infectious smile. Leila loved spending time at the caravan with her parents and her nanas Rose and Cynthia, spending all of her pennies at the arcades. She adored being around her family and spending time with her cousins Louie, Esme, James and Evie. She loved her best friend Eddie the chihuahua, holding his lead on walks as she learnt to walk herself. On a night she slept surrounded by so many teddies that she couldn’t even be seen among them.
Four weeks ago, Leila became poorly and it was discovered that she had meningitis and sepsis. After spending 2 weeks in the hospital, she was able to come home. Although less than two weeks later Leila fell ill again. After spending a few days in and out of hospital our beautiful girl suffered a seizure. After a CT scan it was confirmed that Leila had a swell on the brain causing brain damage. To our absolute horror we were told that there was noting more they could do for her. She was pronounced brain dead on the 24th of July 2023. Leila was put on a life support machine and all of her family rushed to be by her side. After being moved to Martin House she was removed from life support.
This is more grief than anyone should ever have to go through in their life. However, Sarahs mother, Leilas nana Rose passed away just 8 weeks ago. This of course has already caused a financial strain on the family and there is not enough funds left to give Leila the send-off that her whole family needs.
We are asking for donations to help Leila’s family to give her a beautiful funeral. Any donation of any size would be so greatly appreciated and would allow us to take just the smallest weight off the shoulders of her close family as they go through this horrible time. Additional funds raised after the funeral costs will allow Leila's parents the time and space they need to grieve while being off of work as they have had to take so much time out already.
