Leila & Levi Smith

**I want to thank everyone who donated, sent food and gifts, sent thoughtful messages and prayers, and who came to the calling hours. The family is overwhelmed by the support you have all provided. I truly cannot thank you enough! It’s been a very painful week for the family, but seeing everyone rally around Leila & Levi has been uplifting. Thank you again for your profound generosity!**

I am creating the page on behalf of Desirae Sanfrey and her two small kids, Leila (5) and Levi (3). Leila and Levi’s father, Mitchell "Mitch" Smith, died unexpectedly on February 19, 2023. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations for a fund to be set up for the children. The money for this GoFundMe will be used solely for trust accounts for Leila and Levi. The Smith and Sanfrey family greatly appreciates all forms of support.

Mitch was born on May 30, 1986, in Warren, OH, the son of the late James Smith and Lynne Loftus. Mitch was a 2005 Graduate of Warren G. Harden High School. He worked at Sanfrey Freight Services for 14 years as a mechanic. He was a diehard sports fan and his favorite teams included The Cincinnati Bangles, Dallas Cowboys, Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Indians.

Mitch loved spending times with Leila & Levi, who were the light of his life. He enjoyed playing basketball and softball with his brother. He also enjoyed family gatherings, and spending time with his niece, Avah, and nephews, Dominic, Mason, and Lucas.

Memories of Mitch will be carried on by his surviving mother, Lynne Loftus; fiancée and mother of his children, Desirae Sanfrey; his children, Leila and Levi; brother, Matthew (Rochelle) Smith of Warren, OH; and sister, Trisha Smith of Warren, OH.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Smith; his grandparents James and Catherine (Ronan) Loftus; and Charles and Lanelle (Easter) Smith.

Friends may call from 10am - 12pm on Sunday, February, 26, 2023, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home. Private Services will be held for the family.
