Help build Leiken Reeds!
Hello,
In January 2014, I started Leiken Reeds with little more than 20 years of experience playing the bagpipes and manipulating reeds, some basic tools, and some tips I learned on the internet. I started making practice chanter reeds, which quickly became a success internationally. In March of 2014, with help from Shawn Husk, I learned to make pipe chanter reeds, which also reached a level of success fairly quickly.
As time went on, I quickly realized that demand often exceeded supply. Though my tools produced excellent reeds, I found that it took a long time to make a good number of reeds. As a professional-level piper, my expectations of my reeds is very high, and nothing but the best is good enough. While I can make good reeds, for my venture to be successful, I need to produce quanity with consistent quality.
