Our sweet baby angel Leigh-Cheri is in the ICU and we would be so grateful for kindness, prayers, and donations as we navigate this extremely upsetting and sudden situation.

Leelee started to not eat all of her food, which wasn’t that alarming considering dogs can be fussy about food sometimes. But then her pee was really dark, and she quickly began turning yellow. The whites of her eyes, the skin on her ears, her gums, and even her belly suddenly had a yellow tinge. Once we saw the dark pee, we decided she needed to go to the vet ASAP. We took her on Monday, 10/6, in the afternoon to her vet where we waited 3 hours for some less than ideal care. After non-conclusive testing and a failed x-ray, they sent us to the vet ER, where she’s been in the ICU ever since. Her levels have not improved since being stabilized on fluids and antibiotics, and we are waiting for ultrasound results. They want to keep her there for monitoring, which is, of course, less than ideal. It all gets very expensive very quickly. As freelancers and contractors, our disposable or emergency funds are scarce, and we appreciate any and all the help we can get!! Pray for our girl! Send all the good vibes, we need them.
