UPDATE OCT 28 - Appeal was DENIED today! Please help us help them!

Hi I’m Karry Kehr I am Leigha Kehr’s step mom. Recently Leigha, Shayne & their 3 year old daughter have had a home crisis that turned their world upside down. They had no way of knowing how toxic their home was . Their Windermere, BC home that they own is now full of black mold. It was discovered during inspections by contractors and also by the insurance company. They have been denied the claim they had with the insurance company. (An appeal is in process ) They have a temporary place to stay but winter is near and they have a lengthy unknown battle ahead including finding rental accommodations. Rent on top of the mortgage will not be sustainable at all. Both of their rescue dogs are being either boarded at great expense or rehomed temporarily. Leigha & Shayne both work in the Invermere community but this is taking a huge toll on them. 3 year old Nyah needs stability and so do her parents to navigate the steps on what to do next. All options are being explored and professional advice is being provided.
