Leia’s Surgery: Your Help Matters

Hello! My name is Jazmin and I am an incoming first year college student. In the pictures you’ll see my dog Leia who just turned 7 years old on the 28th of June this year. I adopted Leia when I was in sixth grade and she was just a few months old. Over the years she’d been entirely healthy until late last year when she began to have several issues such as blood in her urine, straining while urinating, various accidents in the house, and frequently urinating with little to nothing coming out. Her vet had informed us that she had bladder stones, and because it is all connected to her urination, she is constantly in a state of discomfort and even pain at times.

Upon being made aware of this, we were also made aware of surgery and what it could do for her. When we’d first adopted her, we were in a much better place financially and were able to pay for the things she needed to keep her healthy and comfortable. Unfortunately finding out about her stones came at a time when things got increasingly harder for my family. As of late last year, we were unable to afford the surgery to extract the stones, so we’ve been trying medicated food and other medicines however it’s becoming increasingly more expensive and hard to afford that as well.

This money could help me and my family afford the surgery that will extract the stones and rid her of the discomfort and pain and bring back the once energetic and happy dog we had before.
