With an extremely heavy but hopeful heart my baby Leia and I need your help. On this past Memorial Day I felt that Leias lymph nodes were swollen which was very alarming to me when I’ve never felt anything like that on her before. I made a vet appointment for her that next day and biopsies were taken at that time. The lumps we were all praying to be benign came back a few days later as Large Cell Lymphoma. Our veterinary clinic referred us to the Animal Cancer Clinic in Orlando and I followed up immediately. Leia had her first appointment this week! The Doctor said that since Leia is fairly young at 6 years old and has no other health conditions and still clearly so full of life we were given a hopeful prognosis! Leia has already received her first chemo treatment that day and we are now awaiting the results of whether the Lymphoma cells contain B or T cells and then we will be able to continue with the best chemotherapy treatment for her based on those results. Leia is still her goofy playful self and you’d never know she’s sick by looking at her. She lights up this world and is so full of live and love. She has so much life left to live for it to end so soon. She is my best friend and my baby and with the reassurance from the Doctors that she will remain comfortable and be able to live her life happily while we battle this horrible disease I have to do everything possible to fight this with her. This treatment may not be a forever cure but it will prolong her life and she will be comfortable and happy through it. If you find it in your heart even $1 would mean the world to Leia and I and we will be forever grateful. And I promise you she’d give you all the kisses and high fives in the world to thank you ❤️ Please keep my baby in your thoughts and/or prayers
