For anyone who doesn't know Leia, she was rescued from a high kill shelter in North Carolina by Animals R Family. She had been abused, burnt and left to die by her previous owner. Leia is one of the sweetest, most gentle and one of the most loving dogs ever, and has known nothing but pain her whole life because of a knee deformity she was born with. She is fully recovered from her first surgery and is ready for her next and final surgery to correct her Grade 4 (the most severe form) luxating patella (which means her knee cap is stuck on the inside), deformed femur and torn ACL. But she can not recieve the surgery until the full cost of $4,500 is raised. We are so close and need just $2,500 to finally give her the quality of life she deserves.
