Hello,

I am Benjamin Lehmann a small business owner, I have a wonderful family, an awesome wife and two beautiful daughters. I operate a small boat repair shop in Groesbeck Texas near lake limestone texas called Mac’s Marine Lake Limestone. We have a wonderful, local and friendly customers base. We do our best to create relationships with our customers and help our community anyway we can. We support fundraising for our local chambers and protect our lake by volunteering for Friends of lake Limestone to protect our lake’s water level.

Unfortunately, on March 3rd I was hit from behind by another vehicle while I was stopped on the side of the road inspecting the trailer I was pulling. I was thrown about 10 ft, and knocked unconscious. I woke up surround by first responders doing an awesome job keeping me alive. I made sure to tell them how much I appreciated them while they transported me to the ER. I am very blessed to be alive my guardian angle was watching over me.

Given the circumstances and seeing pictures of the accident scene, I can’t describe in word the appreciation and love I have for being alive and being able to hear, see and hold my family in my arms.

After the wonderful staff in the ER finished all the MRI’s, Scans and X-rays. My known injuries are broken left, torn left knee (don’t know the extent of the knee until the ortho does a scan with contrast), right shoulder damage, concussion, broken teeth, right Bicep torn, and a ton of cuts, scrapes on my head and body. My ankle is in a cast, I have really bad vertigo, and if I move to fast I lose concussion.

Well, I will not be working at the shop for awhile until I recover. I am going to do what I can as soon as I can since I am a one man show at the shop. Since we are a small business I do not have medical insurance. I am asking for donations to help cover the costs of medical and minimal living costs. I am going to need mri’s of my neck, knee, shoulder and arm. Physical therapy and multiple surgeries.

I am learning how all this works as I go along, even thou it was not my fault, vehicle insurance doesn’t pay medical bills up front and we do not have the cash to pay from the medical bills, scans, surgeries and doctor visit costs and keep the lights on at home.
