Hello all! On Friday Sept. 12 I was heading home from work when I stopped to help rescue a kitten that was injured, hungry, and dangerously close to a busy road in the Bronx. He was limping, at times dragging his leg, and he was meowing in pain. There was no mother cat or sibling kittens around. This kitten was someone’s pet and abandoned near my job, which has lots of foot traffic from people commuting to work and school.

I took the kitten to a family friend’s house, as she has years of experience working with animals. Generously, she’s been fostering the kitten, and she took him for extensive vet visits. The vets confirmed the kitten is pretty healthy but sadly, he does have a broken leg.

The kitten requires prompt medical attention due to the broken leg and we can’t cover costs all on our own. If you’d like to make a donation, anything helps, big or small!
