My sister, Natalia, is an amazing dog mommy. In February of this year, Natalia rescued Lily. At three years old, Lily came home excited to meet her new doggybro Dobby.
After bringing her home, Natalia noticed it was difficult for Lily to walk. After research and several appointments with the veterinarian, it has come to light that Lily has a torn ACL in both of her back knees. Lily is in need of surgery.
It was discovered that Lily had been abandoned twice, and is speculated that she may have had poor nutrition in her most crucial development periods.
Lily is still a puppy. She forgets that she has restricted motion and will try to be young and playful alongside Dobby. It goes without saying that she simply can't participate; it breaks our hearts seeing she got another chance at a good life but can't run freely or get in trouble for jumping on the couch.
I could go into a description of how sweet and loving Lily is, but that goes without saying. That is why a pet is so special- be it dog, cat, or goldfish. They fill holes in our hearts. The most beautiful thing about Lily is that even though she has difficulty moving, she ALWAYS shows her appreciation and excitement for you by wagging her tail through the pain.
The money I would like to raise for my sister would be to help her with the cost of Lily's procedure.
The level of gratitude I know my sister would have for any help would run deep.
