Zionsville American Legion Historical Fire Truck
Donation protected
I came off the assembly line in 1955 as an International Fire Truck "Pumper", bound for Brown Township in Mooresville, Indiana. Over the years I was converted to a regular Fire Truck and served various communities, making hundreds of runs, saving lives and structures.
Years went by and I had the privilege to retire at the American Legion Post #79 in Zionsville, Indiana. I have proudly taken part in numerous parades, Fall Festivals and community celebrations.
But now I'm old and age has taken its toll, I need your help. My chrome is pitted. My paint is faded. My tires are bald and flat. My upholstery is cracked and worn. I don't know where my ladder is. My engine needs tuning up, well it's pretty well shot.
You've heard my story, can you help me return to my original glory?
Buddy, can you spare a dime or a few bucks?
