Suicide Help & Prevention Bench.

Hi, I’m Mike Clarke Snr, a disabled veteran of almost 25 years in the Army. I am doing a 10km Trek in my wheelchair to raise funds for a fantastic project that is being run by an Ex Professional Footballer, and others who are affected by the loss of a loved one to Suicide.

We are raising funds to purchase Benches that will be strategically placed in Parks up and down the Country, including in Northern Ireland and beyond. It is hoped that we can raise enough funds to have each bench illuminated at night, as well as contain the contact details, for individuals to call a number and get the Help & Information they need.

We have all lost a loved one at some point in our life, and it is absolutely devastating, so we want to do our part in reducing the suicide rate in both adults and children. Hopefully, anyone who is struggling with Mental Health issues and having suicidal thoughts, or maybe someone who just needs a person to talk to, can then give them a call and get the help they need by calling one of the numbers on the plaque and talking to someone.

We all have a responsibility to help each other, and suicide can be preventable if we all do our part.
