Legends Rainbow Bridge

Hi, this is Sophy. This is very difficult for me to do, but I’m going to share the sad story about how my family and I recently lost a cherished member of our household. 

Last week, while chasing a deer in our back yard, Legend (our rescue dog) accidentally found himself in our neighbors backyard where he encountered the neighbors dog. It was not a good encounter.

I physically attempted to stop the interaction between him and the other dog (which also caused severe injuries to my face, hands, and feet). 

Tragically, Legend was shot with a gun in front of my eyes. Although everything humanly and medically possible was done to save his life, his wounds were too severe. A few hours later we lost him. 

So, I now find myself seeking the kind, gentle comfort that is needed while we mourn the loss of his sweet soul.

This tragedy has a left a hole in our hearts, and a pain so deep it’s hard to comprehend.

In addition to the heartbreak, we are dealing with the reality of not only his, but also my medical expenses. The cost of effort to save his life was something we were not prepared for. Also, my own injuries are significant. I have over 20 stitches and need surgery on of my hands to save my finger.
