Greetings! And thank you for supporting new musicals. I'm Ray Christensen, a SF Bay Area producer, musician and actor and we are developing a thrilling new musical titled Legend of the Werewolf. Legend of the Werewolf pays tribute to classic horror films from the 1940s-70s, with musical styles blending the horror movie soundtrack with progressive rock. The chilling story warns of infectious belief in a culture of fear, as the main character, Tom Scarborough, is overwhelmed by the prevalent belief in the werewolf curse.

Our first production is a full audio album of all the songs. We have recorded the orchestra tracks and vocals, but we still need to do all of the post-production, such as additional sound and ambient effects, mixing and mastering, promotion, etc. Post-production will be done at a pro studio with a Hollywood veteran engineer, so we still need to raise funds for these expenses.

And more exciting news! Legend of the Werewolf has been selected as one of four new musicals to be included in Musical Cafe Showcase (facebook.com/MusicalCafeShowcase). A twenty minute segment of the show will be performed in a semi-staged reading at the Freight & Salvage in Berkeley on October 29-30, 2023. Musical Cafe provides some funding, but we will need additional funding to pay for rehearsal space, musicians, actors, etc.
