Unfortunately, with every small step forward, we are met with more resistance and strife. The legal battles waged against our center are beginning to catch up and our attorney advises we will need to raise funds to cover the mounting costs of $50,000.00 expected in the months to come. He advises we should NOT start building the recently approved Raptor Flight building or purchase evergreen trees. Legal fees are now needed to fight the current lawsuit filed by Stan Seymour, Jane Seymour, Adrian Maver and spouse Blaine Creasy’s attorneys in Roanoke County Circuit Court. They are asking for their “Standing“ to be returned. If this happens, the original appeal-complaint regarding our zoning will return and be revisited by the Roanoke County’s Zoning Board. Our opponents have deeper pockets than we do, please consider a donation to help us keep the lights on so we may continue to give wildlife a second chance. Any donation amount that supersedes the listed goal will be used for wildlife care. Thank you!
