Elk Film and director Sine Plambech are raising funds to support the Qasem Al-Shebab family, the main participants of the documentary film, Rescue.

Donations will help ensure that the family can access essential legal, medical and psychological support when needed.

Viewers of the film have asked how they can offer support, so this fundraiser was created as a way for those who wish to contribute to the family's well being. They face an uncertain and challenging period as they try to rebuild their lives in safety in Germany.

The family may need professional legal assistance, psychological support, medical consultations, treatment and medication. Donations will help cover these expenses related to the family’s situation and well-being. The fundraiser aims to raise up to DKK 30,000, and the amount raised will determine the extent and type of support that can be provided.

Sine Plambech is administering the funds on behalf of the family – not a beneficiary of the fundraiser. Depending on the amount raised, the funds will be used to pay expenses directly to lawyers/healthcare providers or to reimburse expenses incurred on behalf of the family.
