Legal Support for an Active-Duty Special Operations Service Member with nearly 20 Years of Service

I am organizing this fundraiser to help a close friend who is an active-duty U.S service member assigned to U.S. Special Operations Command. For privacy and operational security reasons, his name and identifying details will remain confidential.

This fundraiser is organized independently by friends and supporters and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with the Department of Defense, U.S. Special Operations Command, or any U.S. government entity, including the service member.

Why We Are Raising Funds:

My friend has served honorably for nearly two decades, dedicating the majority of his adult life to the defense of this nation. Serving in multiple combat deployments to every major area of operation and extensive operational and training assignments, he has consistently demonstrated professionalism, leadership, and commitment to those who followed him into direct combat or in preparation for it.
Throughout his extensive service, despite participating in hundreds of combat missions with surveillance and target acquisition platoons and special operations teams, he has never lost a life or limb to the enemy, nor has he ever lost a single piece of government equipment entrusted to him.

Currently, he is facing significant personal legal expenses stemming from a complex legal and administrative issue that has heavily impacted both his professional and family life. Recently, a multi-million dollar civilian storage facility auctioned off the contents of a storage unit belonging to him while he was away from home.
Concerns have arisen regarding the legality of this auction under federal protections afforded by the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA). This matter is being reviewed through the appropriate legal channels, and the auction is under investigation for potential violations of federal law.

The auction resulted in the loss of personal and family belongings, many of which were irreplaceable, as well as government-issued items that are and were replaceable. The items were not sensitive in nature nor were they pertinent to the service members duty at that time. This incident triggered subsequent legal and administrative proceedings, resulting in adverse legal findings.

Following these events, additional administrative actions and proceedings were initiated. The service member experienced a reduction in pay grade, revocation of security clearance, and loss of specialized military credentials. These outcomes have placed substantial financial and emotional strain on him and his family and now place his long-term financial security and earned retirement benefits at risk. Without the means to retain experienced civilian legal counsel, he could lose everything he has fought so hard to protect.

Purpose of This Fundraiser:

This fundraiser exists solely to help cover lawful legal expenses, including:
• Retaining experienced civilian legal counsel
• Legal defense and advisory fees
• Court-related and administrative legal costs

No funds will be used for fines, restitution, penalties, or any prohibited purpose.

This page is not intended to influence legal proceedings, administrative actions, or military decisions, nor does it criticize any individual, organization, or institution.

Ethical & Legal Compliance Statement:

To ensure full compliance with ethical and legal requirements:
• All donations are voluntary gifts, not compensation or payment for services
• The service member does not solicit donations, particularly from subordinates or individuals with official military relationships
• No classified, sensitive, or operational information is shared
• Funds will be used exclusively for lawful legal expenses and paid directly to legal counsel NOT THE SERVICE MEMBER

How You Can Help:

Access to qualified legal representation is essential to ensuring fairness and due process when navigating complex legal and administrative matters. If you are able to contribute, your support will help alleviate a significant burden on a service member and his family who have already sacrificed greatly in service to this country.

If you are unable to donate, sharing this page is sincerely appreciated!

Thank you for your support, discretion, and respect.
