I'm raising funds for my friend Peiheng Wu, who also goes by Pei and Percival, and who was detained by ICE at the airport on 8/28 and sent to the California City Detention Center in the California desert. He is currently in detention under rough living conditions at what is basically a jail, and he is working hard to prepare for his court hearings.

This happened while Peiheng was returning from a cryptocurrency conference in San Francisco. He had also just started a new job in the crypto space when everything changed so suddenly. Since being detained, he has been facing a difficult legal process and a heavy financial burden at the same time.

Funds will go toward legal help:

• $1,500 for each hearing appearance
• $3,000 for the first and bond hearings
• $3,500 for representation on the case

Any amount of support would be deeply appreciated and will go directly toward helping Peiheng fight his case. If you are able to give or share this fundraiser, it would mean a great deal and help him get through this process with the legal support he needs.
