Hi, my name is Charionta, and I am the mother of my son, Cairo.

On September 22, 2025, an alleged accident occurred while Cairo was not in my care, resulting in a severe traumatic brain injury. This injury has caused significant physical and cognitive impairments that have permanently changed his life and our family’s future.

Because of ongoing legal proceedings, I am unable to share the full details surrounding what happened to my son at this time. I know that can be hard to understand, but protecting Cairo and preserving the integrity of his case must come first. What I can share is where we are now—and why we need help.

Cairo was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center and underwent multiple emergency brain surgeries to save his life. For days, his outcome was uncertain. I watched my child fight battles no child should ever have to face.

Cairo is a gentle, loving, and bright little boy. He has the kind of smile that lights up a room and a spirit that draws people in. Before this injury, he was curious, active, and full of joy. Today, every step forward is intentional and hard-earned. His recovery requires ongoing medical care, therapy, and consistent neurological monitoring.

To provide the stability, consistency, and advocacy Cairo needs during his recovery, I made the difficult decision to leave my job so I could be by his side full-time. Being present for him is not a choice—it is a necessity for his healing, emotional regulation, and sense of safety.

At the same time, I am navigating a complex and emotionally draining legal process directly connected to Cairo’s injury and future care. I am raising funds to obtain qualified legal representation to ensure this matter is handled responsibly and that Cairo’s best interests remain the priority.

This situation has taken an immense mental, emotional, and financial toll. I am grieving the life my son once had while fighting every day to protect the one he deserves. Some days require more strength than I know I have—but my son is worth every fight.

Any support received through this fundraiser will be used by me to manage legal and personal expenses arising from this situation. While the purpose of this effort is to allow me to continue advocating for my son and maintaining stability during this process
