Legal response fees to suit from SAS

My name is Delaney. I am the person behind the username @deathandcandy27 on Instagram. Since June 14th, 2022, I have been involved with speaking out against the business practices and harmful behavior of the owner of Saints Angels Sinners Cosmetics run by Darcy S. I started by giving advice to Darcy on how to navigate issues that stem from the creator/brand owner relationship and being a voice for those who did not feel comfortable speaking publicly about her in fear of retribution. While all my parts of the discussion have been supported via screenshots or of my own opinion, Darcy believes them to fall under the umbrella of defamation and libel and thus has filed a suit against me in the state she resides in. I have been in contact with an attorney that feels very confident about getting this frivolous lawsuit dismissed; I still need to pay him accordingly for his time and efforts. I'm currently setting the goal for $5k and hoping it will not have to go higher. While I can pay for some of these fees, I am not in a financial position to handle this accordingly and am seeking help from those and others I'm trying to protect and advocate for.
