I've spent the past twenty years helping alcoholics to find support for their medical treatment of alcoholism. I have written and lectured on the legislative and judicial response to medical treatment of alcoholism and I now want to fund further legal research, analysis and promotion of medical treatment using baclofen. This medication provides a cure for many and hope for others but its wide scale adoption as a treatment is hampered by lack of public and governmental awareness. I want to sponsor a symposium each year at a selected law faculty to discuss the way forward and also sponsor a legal paper each year to update the legal position in courts decisions and legislation.
