Legal Name Change and Hysterectomy Recovery

Hello, my name is Jesse and I am a Transgender Man who is raising the funds to go towards the final steps in my legal /medical transition with a legal name change and getting a hysterectomy.

I am wanting to legally change my name to Jesse and also switch my gender to male on all legal documents. With this process, I have to acquire a new social security card, a new drivers license, a new birth certificate, and have to file new documents to the state for my business. This requires a lot of time, energy, and fees. I so desperately want to feel as comfortable as I can to exist with my documents to reflect my gender.

I am also one appointment away from booking my hysterectomy! Getting a hysterectomy will be the final journey in my medical transition that will truly make me feel whole in my body. Menstruation for me is the most triggering and truly out-of-body experience and affects my life so deeply. This surgery will allow me to feel completely comfortable in my body. Part of the funds raised will also go to cover my time off recovering from the surgery. This includes things such as food, rent, and additional cost of living/ other bills.

Being able to get a legal name change and to properly rest while recovering from such surgery without the stresses of forcing myself to work will truly change my life for the better.
