Legal Help for Peyton's Wrongful Arrest

In 2022, Peyton Vanest was stopped on the street by police officers, told that he met a description of someone who they were considering a suspect in a case.

He was asked to come to the station and answer some questions, under the belief it was for him to be ruled out. This was not the case. He was wrongly jailed for 30 days before ultimately being released.

In 2024, he had yet to personally receive any court date, and to this day maintained contact with his bail officer. However, a date was eventually set without his knowledge, and on Thursday, May 22nd 2025, at around 10 PM, he was arrested for failure to appear.

Failure to appear in a case that, for all we know, could prove his innocence. And yet he is once again being held, now on the charge of Failure to Appear, the charges for which are much less severe than their original accusations.

Every aspect of Fulton County Jail has ignored due process. Peyton was not read his rights, had never been given a trial, had never met personally with assigned attorneys.
