Legal Fund for FW Protesters

On May 29th and 30th, 2020, the Allen County and Fort Wayne Police Department, without warning, attacked a large group of the Black Lives Matter movement's peaceful protesters with rubber bullets and chemical warfare. They then proceeded to arrest 97 people and put them in jail without bond, just for being present at the scene of this attack. This all happened with the support of Fort Wayne's Mayor Tom Henry. Now, and before proper trial, Allen County Prosecutor Karen Richards has informed all defending attorneys that every person arrested 'will serve time'. This Go Fund Me has been organized in order to help cover the legal fees incurred by all who were held and are now being prosecuted by a system that seeks to make examples out of them for peacefully questioning the methodology, power and authority of that system.

How The Funds Will Be Spent
We will be making contact with this list  of people being prosecuted and dividing all money raised according to urgency and need. We plan to be in ongoing communication through their entire legal process to assist financially as things progress and change.

Who Are We
This Go Fund Me has been created by community activists Danielle Andersen of of Agnihotra Records, Morrison Agen of Berry Street Records, and Shanel M Turner, Marketing + Development Administrator at Center for Nonviolence. All three residents of Fort Wayne, IN.
