Legal Fees To Save Charlie
Donation protected
I've started this to try and help save the most beautiful dog called Charlie, and his humans. Charlie is a 1 year old dog that has been typed as an Ex-L bulldog however he was sold to his humans as an American bulldog. The owners have proof that they were sold him believing he was an American bully. Unfortunately Charlie is classed as an Ex-L Bully due to his huge size. As we all know this breed has faced a ban in the UK due to irresponsible owners allowing their dogs of this breed to become out of control and harm humans or other animals. Dogs of this stature do have a lot of power behind them however all dogs if trained correctly of any breed can grow into kind creatures that don't attack. Charlie is a dog that has had this kind of responsible input. He is a gentle giant with an inate love for other humans and dogs. He has an extremely lovely nature and is of no threat whatsoever to anyone. This dog has been brought up around children where he is loving and gentle. He is actually owned by Kayleigh, a pet shop owner in Hartlepool who has extensive experience in training dogs and working with animals in general. Charlie is good with other dogs and even little animals. He has been known to groom Guinea pigs he has come into contact with and he is the most gentle dog around children.
Because Charlie is now classed as a "dangerous dog" he is facing a court case to decide his fate. His owner has complied with everything the ban demands. From muzzle procedure and even has even been castrated early to comply with the ban. His owner will do anything to save Charlie but she needs our help now. Kayleigh will be facing a court case to go Infront of a judge to decide if Charlie will be destroyed! We can not let this dog be put down because of his breed. To meet him you would instantly know that this dog is absolutely NOT dangerous at all. He is obedient, loving, gentle and no threat to anything on this planet. We must help Kayleigh be able to fight in court to defend her big baby. To do this she will need a solicitor. In this climate a good solicitor that can win this case will cost a lot of money. This is money that Kayleigh and her family do not have.
Kayleigh runs a small pet shop in Hartlepool which unfortunately has to compete with other bigger businesses. She fights to keep her shop going and provide an income for her family but it's not an easy climate to have a business in. Kayleigh is well known for doing lots within her local community. She recently did an appeal at Christmas to raise funds to provide Christmas presents to lower income and vulnerable families. This woman is an absolute credit to her community and is the very best of human beings. She is feeling the toll of the possibility of losing her family pet. It has been extremely traumatic to her and her children who know that Charlie is completely innocent. Kayleigh doesn't have the funds to cover a solicitor. Particularly given she was sold Charlie as a smaller breed and she was mis-sold him. This wasn't something she could have planned for and knowing how responsible she is as a pet owner, if she could have she would have. We must try and raise funds for the hire of a good solicitor so Charlie can be saved the death penalty for no reason other than his breed. He has been granted to stay at home with his family by the professionals due to him being deemed of lower threat after his behaviour evaluation and Kayleighs background check. But we mustn't take for granted that he is safe. Only a judge can decide his fate with the right evidence being presented. We must achieve that through getting the funds to help Kayleigh and a solicitor fight this. Charlie's life is at stake and his family are terrified. We don't know how much this could cost but we do know the family do not have any spare funds to deal with this. Please consider donating any amount at all to help Charlie's fight. If he was put down it would be an absolute injustice. Any proceeds raised above the cost of the legal fees needed will be donated to other suitable dog charities to be decided by Kayleigh and myself after we know the fees have been covered.
Please, please dig deep to save this family pet and this beautiful, gentle giant. He is no dangerous and he deserves to keep his life. We can't allow a family to be plunged into debt to save their babies life.
Thank you for reading and thanks for any help at all.
