My husband was arrested during a peaceful protest to Reopen California on May 1st at the Capitol. He was charged with trespassing and VIOLATING COVID DISTANCING.
He was originally going to represent himself in court but I convinced him he needs an attorney. I don't want my 66 year old husband going to jail! He was charged with Misdemeanors NOT Infractions which mean he could go to jail and will have a criminal record. He needs a good civil rights attorney. 
He said he wasn't protesting for himself. We have a fixed income (both retired). He was there for our kids and our granddaughter; all the employees and owner's of business's going broke;  Christians, surfers, hikers, sports fans, atheletes, students, barbers, parents, hair stylists, waiters, waitresses, bartenders, teachers, skateboarders, fishermen, and the list goes on.
He wants to stand up to Governor Newsom and his tragic/gross mismanagement of this "crisis".
California has flattened it's curve.  It's time to Reopen California.
The only reason he was there and got arrested was to protest government taking away our freedoms. He shouldn't have needed to protest.  He shouldn't have been arrested. He shouldn't have to worry about going to jail.
It was a peaceful protest.  
Any amount you can help with is very much appreciated and needed.  No amount is too small.  It is going to cost alot for him to have proper presentation.  Thank you all for your support.
