Legal Fees for Englewood BLM Protestors

Donation protected
On October 24th at 5:00 PM activists Victor J. Urbaez, Victor Urbaez, Jennese Torres, and Ainsworth Minott took to the street of Englewood, New Jersey, to partake in a Black Excellence march for the Black Lives Matter movement. While marching they witnessed a fight, unrelated to the protest. They took it upon themselves to break up the fight and continued on their way. The Bergen County Sheriff and Englewood Police department brutally attacked and arrested the community organizer and leader Ainsworth Minott, activist Victor Urbaez, his father Victor Urbaez, and his mother Jennese Torres.

Ainsworth Minott was hospitalized after being brutally beaten by the Englewood police and has since been transferred to the Englewood Police Department. Where He is currently being held without legal representation and has not yet been charged with a crime.

While Victor Urbaez was being detained, the Englewood Police Department illegally seized and searched through his phone without a warrant. They accidentally called his girlfriend off of his phone while he was still in handcuffs.

The four arrests made on October 24th were unlawful, brutal, and excessive. We demand that the Englewood Police department is held accountable for the actions that they took. We are asking the community to help our community activists right now by providing legal and medical support and aid for all four activists.
