We’re raising money to help a friend who is currently facing a very serious outcome over a situation that doesn’t match the punishment being considered. We have spoken with a very reputable lawyer and she is willing to take on Jeff's case, but her fee is $4,000. Every single dollar raised will go directly to his lawyer - to help give him a fighting chance!

Jeff doesn't meet a stranger. If you know Jeff, you know you have a friend that will always show up and do whatever they can to help you - someone that truly has a good heart!

Because of a poor decision and trusting the wrong person, he is now at risk of serving the remainder of his probation in prison—up to 10 years. While he accepts responsibility for his mistakes, the sentence being pursued is extreme and does not fit the situation.

He’s not perfect. He’s rough around the edges and has made bad choices in the past—but he is also reliable, hardworking, and trustworthy, and he shows up for work and for his family. He recently became a grandfather, and his family depends on his help being present and able to work.

This fundraiser is not about avoiding consequences.

It’s about having legal representation to argue for a punishment that makes sense and is proportional to what actually happened.
