Hi, my name is Emma, let me explain why i have had to create this fundraiser

Protecting women has always been my goal, however this has come at a cost. Unfortunately I have been sued by an angry man over a post in a private group that I admin along with others.

The post was reported to the police and out of courtesy it was removed within 10 days. No laws were broken, and I heard nothing more. This man was not mentioned again.

This group exists to protect women, if this man is able to weaponise the courts to extract money from an admin over a post written about him a year ago, every one is at risk. It will change case law, it will change defamation law, it will mean more men will learn they can weaponise courts to intimidate women and it will mean less people speak out.

If you want to support the group and what we do any money raised will be used to fund legal bills, and any left over will go to women's aid.
