Hello My name is James I am 38 years old and currently suffering from a severe depression that was caused due to continuous and overwhelming issues with my company.

In Decemeber I was diagnosed with a severe depression caused primarily due to professional situation. For 2 years high levels of pressure was placed on me and my colleagues. This resulted in me having a severe mental health breakdown to the point I tried to take my own life and started self harming.

We took support in from a lawyer to try and form a mutual agreement to terminate the contract with my employer. This mutual agreement would allow me to access continued temporary support from segurança social until medically well to take up work again.

However the company categorically denied that they have any fault despite evidence and 5 doctors and 2 psychiatrist agreeing that work was the cause.

We received news on the 18th of May 2026 that they are still refusing to agree a mutual exit and that we will no proceed with a court case. Currently I have a limited income and do not have the means to cover this legal battle.

I am unable to disclose the name of the company for legal reasons...

We need support to cover the legal fees that we will endure and also to access mental health services at a faster pace than public access allows.

I do not like having to beg or ask for money...

But without support we have lost and we will end up in an extreme situation that clearly will not allow for me to continue.
