Legal challenge investigation for CBR trees and cycleway

This fundraiser is on behalf of the residents of Clifford Bridge Road, the surrounding area, and the wider Coventry community.

We are raising funds for pay for the ongoing services of a specialist legal firm of solicitors to scrutinise Coventry City Council’s decision to construct a dual cycleway on CBR as part of the Binley Cycleway Scheme.

Despite widespread concerns, the council has failed to fully acknowledge or address the serious safety risks this design poses to cyclists, residents, and other road users.

This issue has become more important since the disclosure of a 'hidden' Road Safety Audit report which summarised 30 significant risks of collision for all road users.

Despite our relentless efforts, the court has denied our request for a judicial review. However, we remain steadfast in our fight, seeking ongoing legal advice to challenge the safety of this scheme.

Right now, there are 26 mature trees being felled, despite widespread protests and our determined campaign.

We firmly believe this dual cycleway is unsafe and that not all of the trees needed to be removed if the design was altered to make the scheme safe for everyone.

We need your support more than ever to continue this battle. Every contribution helps us push forward.
