help stop my ex interfering with my gender change and life

Jan 31st update:
My ex decided to move out of the country in less than a week. I spoke to my lawyer, and we decided to send him the notification of my gender change both at his new address and the one where his mother lives.
I am also going to start a process to get full custody of my child, and hopefully have him out of my life forever. So I updated with the amount I need for that as well.

Update with new court hearing date:

Hi, I'm Theo. Life circumstances brought me to live in Spain, but I am Italian.
I am a trans man, and have been taking steps to get my name and gender changed on my documents. Because of my nationality, I have to abide by the italian law on this matter.
My court hearing was scheduled to happen in October last year, but it was postponed. I'm going to try to explain this best I can.
I have a daughter in common with my ex. I broke up with him a few years ago now. We have never been married, but because of this link, the italian law demands that he is informed of my transition, and given a chance to have a say in it.
He is a transphobe and does not accept my identity. But at the same time he said he was not interested in trying to stop me (it would require him to go to italy to the court hearing himself, and he can't be bothered).
Thing is, my lawyer (in italy) said that in order for us to proceed, he needed to be notified at least 30 days in advance. He lives in spain, so we had to pay a different lawyer that she said knew how to notify people abroad.
I had to pay an official translator to translate all the documents to spanish.
The court hearing was rescheduled from october 30th to february 6th.
Fast forward to this morning. My lawyer said the documents were sent back to the sender. This counts as if he hasn't been notified, we have less than 30 days, so the court hearing needs to be rescheduled AGAIN.
When I asked him, he said he wasn't home, was notified that he had to pick up the documents at the post office within 15 days, and didn't bother to do so. This could have been done maliciously, or he could just be lazy (probably just a mix of the two things, knowing him) but the outcome for me is the same. I can't proceed unless he is notified and given a chance to have a say in it.
My lawyer said that we have to go through the initial process again. Get the hearing rescheduled a second time, translate the documents again, pay the second lawyer again.
This means:
I booked non refundable flights and train tickets that will go unused now.
I will have to pay for an official certified translation again.
I will have to pay legal costs a second time.

I am self employed, and the sole provider for myself and my 9 year old daughter. I have no family to fall back on. Paying for all of this once was extremely hard already, and having to do it twice is... unfair. It's too much, more than what I can afford in my current situation.
I don't want to give up on this though.
Absolutely anything would help. Thank you if you decide to do so. Even if you just share this around.
