Legal and Support Fund For Catrice

Black women are often burdened with the trope of strength which often leaves them un-watered and unsupported.  Catrice has been an unapologetic and outspoken advocate for BIPOC and underrepresented dancers in the MENAHT dance community. Her commitment to speaking up and out has also made her a target within the community. Nearly a year ago she was asked to participate as one of a few moderators in a Facebook group called the MENAHT and Fusion Dancers Against Bigotry group as they wanted to ensure that there was black  representation amongst the moderators. The group is now being attacked over a list that was shared in the group that called out dancers for various racist, homophobic or other problematic behaviors,  and Catrice is now being attacked in a smear campaign for being the "leader" of the group. This has escalated to a point where she has not only needed to contact legal specialist but has received consistent harassment. This gofund me is to help support her in any legal needs as well as a thank you for all the work she does to ensure Black and Brown dancers receive visibility in our community.
