Hi, my name is Niki and I'm initiating this fundraiser for my brother, Charlie Confer. On Saturday, August 13, Charlie was involved in an altercation with another man after a traffic incident. His primary injury so far has been his jaw, broken in 2 places, which required a plate to stabilize. We don't know what the status of his back is until he can make appointments with the appropriate specialists. It's safe to assume that he's going to be laid out for a while.

His new pup, Sylvie, was with him - luckily in her kennel in the back seat. She's fine and hanging out with Mom currently. And thankfully Mom was at the farm and not witness to it.

While there is much we can't talk about until we know more about the potential legal issues, we want to get the ball rolling to see if we can raise some funds to help with legal representation and other misc expenses that are sure to accrue.

As the days go on and we have a better idea about his needs, we hope to get some sort of (liquid) meal train started and other supports he might need in his recovery. Check back if you're willing/able to contribute to keeping Charlie (& Mom!) fed as they focus on his healing.
