Legal Aid for Rev. Alcee Chriss to keep his home

How would you feel if you suddenly lost your beloved family home over a $1,900 bill and a legal loophole? Well… that’s exactly what happened to my elderly father.

I am raising money for legal fees for Alcee Chriss Jr, who is being forced from his home by a mortgage lender and greedy real estate development company. My father is a retired pastor of 30 years who devoted himself to his church community. He has been widowed since 2009 and has had severe memory issues related to multiple mini-strokes he endured, leading to early onset dementia. The developers don’t care about real people facing real problems!

The attorneys say that we have a strong case to keep my dad from going on the streets and winning back the house, but it will be a costly fight with predatory loan companies.
