Hi, my name is Alison.
I’m an American mother of two and I’ve lived in Bali since 2013. I never imagined I would be in a position where I’d need to ask for help like this, but I’m doing so because my children mean everything to me.

After years in an abusive relationship marked by control and manipulation, I made the decision to leave my marriage in 2021 . I believed that leaving would be the hardest part. I was wrong.


In 2023, my ex-husband took possession of our two children. Since then, my access to them has been tightly restricted by him. I’m not allowed consistent contact, their passports are being withheld from me, and they were taken out of the country without my consent—or even my knowledge of where they were going.


I live every day with the fear that I could lose access to my children entirely if I don’t take immediate legal action. This is not about revenge or conflict. It is about a mother fighting to remain present in her children’s lives and to ensure their safety and well-being.

Because this is an international case, the legal process must unfold in stages. 
This fundraiser is structured around clear legal phases, with funds used only as each milestone is reached:

The first stage focuses on immediate legal consultation and case assessment—securing experienced international family law counsel to determine jurisdiction, evaluate my parental rights, and advise on urgent protective actions.

The second stage supports formal legal filings and emergency motions, including court submissions to challenge the withholding of my children, their passports, and their removal across borders without my consent.


The third stage covers court proceedings and hearings

If required, a final stage will address enforcement and reunification steps.
Each phase builds on the one before it. Reaching each goal allows me to take the next critical step forward—carefully, responsibly, and with transparency.


International legal cases are complex and costly, and I cannot do this alone. The funds raised here will go directly toward securing the legal support necessary to protect my parental rights and to take the steps required to be reunited with my children.
