Hello, my name is Will Smith and I just wanted to take a little time to tell you about this faith-based 2D animated project I’m working on for the glory of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

So, I had been pondering how I could do a show teaching biblical truths in a fun and interactive way. One night as I was sleeping, God gave me a detailed vision of a cartoon, almost as if I was watching it. He said, “Do this.” The next day I began writing the script and over a span of about 10 months I, with the leading and help of Holy Spirit,  wrote 10 episodes for the first season.  With the help of my friends, Co-Producer Harold Nesbitt and Artist Mike Hicks, we have been working to make this vision the best it can be. The name of the project is Legacy A.D. Through this cartoon and the main character “Deacon,” we will address issues in today’s culture from a biblical worldview. We often see how the world feels and what the world says, but the only thing that matters and will last is God’s truth and perspective. Legacy A.D. will deal with issues such as child sex trafficking, gun laws, racism, homosexuality, same-sex marriage, family, relationships, depression, injustice etc. from a place of love and truth. It will also show that as human beings created in the image of God, we have an enemy in Satan who hates us so much; he schemes and strategizes on ways to distract us, destroy us and keep us from having an intimate relationship with God and Jesus Christ.

The funds raised for this project will help pay for a website, merchandising and the production (Pre-Production, Production and Post-Production) cost of turning this God given idea into a 2D animated show with the quality and excellence of cartoons like X-Men, Avengers and Spider-Man. Any donation will help, no matter how small the amount. Trust that your donation will make a difference in bringing this cartoon to a reality. Animation is a long process and the more money we raise, the more artists we will be able to hire, helping us to complete the first episode within 12-18 months.
